The RSS Feed is no longer sorted by the updated date — it’s now sorted on the original published date. I liked it the former way for awhile but now I like it the latter way. I’ve also fixed (again) the lastBuildDate so cross your fingers that your feed reader will do the right thing.

Comments are added to the main feed auto-magically as they appear and there’s a new feed solely for them.

I, for one, welcome our new XML overlords.

A Convincing Argument That ‘The Walking Dead’ And ‘Toy Story’ Are One And The Same

Small town sheriff. Weird looking kid wearing an oversized hat. Outsider arrives and shakes things up. The dead come to life. I’m, of course, talking about Toy Story, Pixar’s 1995 film that gave the studio enough clout to eventually make Cars 2 (thank GOD). I suppose the same plot summary could be used for AMC’s The Walking Dead, two dots that Redditor “JimmyLegs50” connected to make a mashup of the movie and zombie series.

You’ve probably already seen this because of the awesome-factor it holds. If not, you’re in for a treat.

Found: Africa’s Oldest Penguins: Scientific American

Penguin fossils from 10 million to 12 million years ago have been unearthed in South Africa, the oldest fossil evidence of these cuddly, tuxedoed birds in Africa.

The new discovery, detailed in the March 26 issue of the Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society, could shed light on why the number of penguin species plummeted on Africa’s coastline from four species 5 million years ago to just one today — Spheniscus demersus, or the jackass penguin, known for their donkeylike calls.
